WELCOME TO THE DHAKA CITY COLLEGE DHAKA

ABOUT DCC
Today’s Dhaka City College, one of the most recognized colleges of Bangladesh was established in 1957 under the patronage of some educationists and patriotic social workers. At the initial stage the classes of the college were held at West End High School and thereafter at Dhaka College. In 1970 the college was shifted to Dhanmondi Road No. 2 at its own premises.
Among those who contributed greatly to the establishment of this institution, the names of Mr. Khan Bahadur Abdur Rahman and Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh may be remembered with due honor and gratitude. Mr. Khaney Alom Khan, former Chairman of the Governing Body was almost a symbol of selfless patronage in arranging financial assistance for the rapid structural development of the college buildings and for the ceaseless endeavor for the development of the college while he was the Divisional commissioner of Dhaka Division.
The college owes greatly to Mr. Hafiz Uddin, the Principal of the college for its present glory and success. He joined this college as Lecturer in Accounting in 1970 and assumed the office of the Principal in 1977. Since then he has been rendering his valuable service to the nation by imparting quality education in this seat of learning. Perhaps, his greatest success as an administrator lies in his capability of maintaining a congenial academic atmosphere and ensuring quality education in this college. Under his efficient guidance and administration, the college has remarkably developed both structurally and academically and the name and fame of the college has already spread both at home and abroad.

Dhaka City Collge is one of the oldest colleges in Bangladesh located at Dhanmondi,kudrat-e-khuda road in Dhaka city. It offers HSC, three years bachelor's and four years honour's course in various majors.
